No. This website is validating demand, collecting workflow research, and building a founding community. There is no ISO download or release date yet.

The proposed base is Ubuntu LTS, chosen for broad hardware support, a large ecosystem, familiar package management, and a predictable support window.

Linux and the proposed core photography stack are generally free and open source. A sustainable project might later offer optional services, support, training, cloud sync, or premium AI workflows.

The goal is a serious open alternative built from tools such as Darktable, RawTherapee, digiKam, and GIMP. It would not claim perfect feature parity or compatibility with every proprietary workflow.

As much as practical. Some culling, tagging, search, and restoration work may run locally on capable hardware. Advanced features may require strong GPUs or clearly labeled optional cloud processing.

The Lite direction targets 8-16 GB RAM. AI Studio would target 16-32 GB RAM, with an NVIDIA GPU and 8 GB or more VRAM preferred for meaningful local-model work.

Research begins with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic, Olympus / OM System, Leica, smartphones, and DNG workflows. Actual compatibility must be tested by model and RAW format.

That is one of the formats being tested in the survey. A complete OS, Ubuntu/Mint installer, and individual applications each have different maintenance and adoption tradeoffs.

No business model has been chosen. Plausible options include optional support, training, cloud services, premium AI packs, sponsorship, and donations while keeping the core open.
